Just days remain until the final of The Voice of Ireland – and the mentors are at loggerheads as they give a last desperate push for their contestants to win.
The final will see Team Rachel Steven’s Kieran McKillop and Sarah McTiernan, Team Bressie’s Emma Humber and Team Una Foden’s Patrick Donogue go head-to-head on to win the competition on Sunday.
Fellow coach Kian Egan has no acts in the running since his top contenders, John Bonham and Helena Bradley Bates, were knocked out over the weekend in the semi-final.
The former Westlife singer has openly spoken about his disappointment and said he believes there are acts “who don’t deserve to be in the final.”
Kian felt that his act John, in particular, should have been competing and not Sarah McTiernan.
“Looking at the four people who got through to the final I definitely feel that that are people there that don’t deserve it,” said Kian.
Meanwhile, The Saturday’s Una Foden is confident that one of her acts will be the ultimate winner this year.
The Tipperary native has been boasting about the strengths of her contestants, saying: “The three guys in my team are all strong and any one of them could win the whole show in my eyes”.
S Club 7 star Rachel has said she’s “over the moon” that she has two acts in the final. “It’s so exciting and i was just so happy that I didn’t have to make any decisions myself,” she commented.
Rachel also revealed that the judges are set to perform together next week.
“We’re going to do a little number. The song is a surprise and it will be great to get up there and have a bit of craic.”
This will include the usually hunky Bressie donning a very pretty dress which he shared this selfie of over the weekend, giving his model girlfriend Roz Purcell a run for her money….Ahem…
