Our very own Vogue Williams finally made it back to Ireland this summer after almost over year of travel restrictions. The Howth native, who lives in London with her husband Spencer and two children, was back filming a new Saturday night talent show, The Big Deal.
Since she was last in Ireland Vogue and Spencer welcomed a baby girl, Gigi and it was difficult for her not to be able to introduce her to Irish friends and family until no.
Speaking about how lovely it was to get to come back to Ireland after 18 months away she said; “My brother hadn’t met her and my mum had only met Gigi once. It was really nice to come back and have those Irish summer holidays we all had as kids, going down to the beach even though the sea is freezing.”
Continuing, Vogue shared that although she has missed Ireland and loves coming back here to her beautiful new home in Howth, she doesn’t plan on moving back; “It was never in our plan to move to Ireland but we want to spend more time here.”
“With the pandemic, I learned I don’t need to be in London – it’s not really where I want to bring the kids up or send them to school. I’d rather be here a lot of the time and London just some of the time.”
Chatting about her new presenting gig for Virgin Media’s The Big Deal she shared her excitement ahead of it’s launch next week; “It’s my first shiny floor show. I got the call, there was no audition process I just sent through a tape of me doing a bit of auto-cue. It’s amazing to be part of it.”
“There’s 24 extremely talented people from Ireland taking part. Fox are using this to see how they’ll do it in America and hopefully we’d get series two here then too.”
She added; “I don’t know if we’ll get our hands on the 3Arena again, but you never know.”
The Big Deal launches on 4th September on Virgin Media One.
