Vogue Williams is living the dream. She never imagined when she started her podcasts, one with her husband and a second with her best pal, that she would be bringing them to a live audience.
Life on the road is “crazy busy” but as a proud mam of three, she adds that she never has to stay away from her little ones for long.
When VIP Magazine catches up with her she’s in great form as she launches the Heineken ‘Love Rivalry’ campaign, chatting all things parenting, podcasting and being a proud wife.
Hi Vogue! You’re a busy woman, how is life on the road? You’ve been gigging a lot with your podcasts!
Yeah, it’s been crazy busy, but I love it. I can’t believe that this is what I get to call work. The pods themselves are such a joy to do, and now we get to take them onto the stage. It’s insane.
I feel so lucky to be able to take them on tour and give people a proper show, see the amazing crowds that support us. I’m loving doing the gigs and also it’s great that I can come home after for lots of them. I’m never away from the kids very long so it works really well!
When you started out on My Therapist Ghosted Me and Spencer & Vogue did you ever expect both podcasts to be received the way they are?
I really didn’t. We literally thought, well, we’ll try this out – as I started first with Spencer. We missed working with each other and realised doing the podcast was a great way of having a shared work project, that was so fun. Then when it was working well, Joanne and I thought the same, let’s just give it a go and see if we like it.
But we had no clue that people would really get it, take so much enjoyment out of listening. And now to actually buy tickets to come and see us. Completely mind-blowing to me.
Your three, Theodore, Gigi and Otto, are shooting up! They’re as big! Do you get emotional seeing them grow up?
I absolutely love babies. It’s such a genuinely magical stage. But I’m really loving seeing mine become more independent and each of their personalities emerge. It’s like you rediscover the world with them in a way.
Spencer’s documentary, Finding Michael, came out recently on Disney+. You must be so proud to see him firstly take on that journey and then see all the positive reactions to it.
Oh, I’m so proud. It was something that was so tough for him to do, but he really needed to take that journey for Michael and for himself and the family. Losing Michael is something that’s been part of his life forever and I think that whole project and documentary was so cathartic for Spenny. It’s an incredible film and what plays out is so moving.
You’re a busy woman, what’s next for you?
I love being busy and love to work. So there are always lots of things in the pipeline, which I’m not always able to talk about. But I’m continuing with the podcasts and the tour this year are a huge thing for me. I’ve really decided 2023 is the year I can travel and make the most of these opportunities to do some great shows with Joanne and Spencer.
Tell us about getting involved with Heineken’s Love Rivals campaign.
I was delighted to get involved with the Heineken ‘Love Rivalry’ campaign, There’s always plenty of friendly rivalry in our house come match day, especially between myself and Spencer. We have a great laugh between friends and family of opposing teams in the lead-up. It’s a great excuse to get everyone together too for the match, some nice food and drinks. I’m really looking forward to Leinster V Ulster on Saturday.
The Heineken Love Rivalry campaign, encourages sports fans, and non-sports fans alike to enjoy some friendly rivalry as the 2023 Heineken Champions Cup knockout phase begins this weekend with Leinster vs Ulster
