With the party season almost upon us, it’s time to think about your go-to beauty look before the festivities commence. Winter is an ideal time to rock a smokey eye or a red lip, so why not make these features part of your make-up routine this year?

In this month’s VIP Magazine we spoke to Emma Farrell of EF Creative, and she told us how to rock the perfect party look this festive season. In fact, she gave us two looks to recreate, so you’re spoilt for choice.

These classic looks are gorgeous and achievable- you can thank us later!

Look One: Red Lip and Flick

Emma advises having a fresh and clean face so that a dewy finish can be achieved, and a subtly contour and highlight can be done. The eyes and lips are the key points to this look with liquid eyeliner and mascara being used to create the dramatic winged look. A bold red lip is what polishes off the look, and Emma recommends using a lipstick and lip liner for this. Here are VIP’s top product picks for this makeup look:

Look Two: Smokey Eye and Nude Lip

For this slightly more sultry look Emma advises having a flawless matte finish on your face. You can achieve this by using primer and foundation, and then setting it with powder. Then contour under the cheekbones and highlight on the cheekbones and t-zone area.

For the dark eye a base shadow should be used on the lip, with a darker one blended over it. Brows should also be filled in, a kohl liner should be used on the lower lash line, and mascara  should be used for a dramatic effect.

Then simply line the lips with a nude liner and lipstick, and finish with a bit of balm. Here are our fave products to use when going with this makeup look:
