Viewers were left astounded by Liam Cunningham’s impassioned speech on The Late Late Show

He's demanded Ireland "take in our share" of Syrian migrants.

Game of Thrones star, Liam Cunningham left viewers astounded after he delivered an impassioned speech about Ireland’s responsibility towards Syrian migrants on The Late Late Show last night.

The actor has just returned from a trip with World Vision to an area in Jordan, which is just 10km from the Syrian border -and the trip clearly left a lasting impression with him.

He was visibly angry when he explained to Ryan that some countries have taken in over 1 million refugees and Ireland has only taken in 311 -despite agreeing to take in 4,000.

Liam then went on to say that he’s also enraged by how the media is referring to the children coming over from Syria.

“What’s even worse is the most vulnerable are referred to by the media as ‘an unaccompanied minor’ in normal language we would call them children.” he told Ryan.

His powerful speech left viewers impressed and many took to Twitter to praise Liam:
