Des Bishop became the fourth celebrity to be booted off Dancing with the Stars last night – and viewers aren’t happy!

The American comedian and his partner Giula Dotta performed a passionate Paso Doble for the Valentine’s special, but their steamy dance failed to secure them the public vote.

Despite receiving his highest scores to date, the 41-year-old ended up following in the footsteps of Hughie Maughan, Thalia Heffernan and Dr. Eva Orsmond, much to his dismay.

“I went out on my highest score,” he said.  “I would have liked to have gone further. The public vote is such an odd thing. I was getting great feedback and doing social media but…

“Maybe people think you are OK, who knows? It is what it is. It might be that people just didn’t want to vote for me.”

Although Des admitted he thought he’d go a bit further in the competition, he still managed to see the funny side.

“Maybe it was because I called Brian Redmond an asshole. I was just kidding around,” he said. “I was thinking we would go a little further. John Bishop was tweeting for me, you know what I mean?”

Viewers were not happy that Des was booted off – and they took to Twitter to express their anger and disappointment:

We’ll definitely miss our weekly dose of Des on the show!
