The Dancing With The Stars finale took place on RTE One last night, and viewers were not impressed with the end result.
The public voted former Kerry footballer Aidan O’Mahony as the winner of the competition, leaving Red Rock’s Denise McCormack and former Fair City actress Aoibhin Garrihy as runners up.
All three contestants put on a spectacular show last night, dancing three technical routines each and proving that they earned their place in the final.
However, DWTS fans were quick to take to social media, claiming that the prize should have gone to Denise or Aoibhin. Many also judged the public voting system.
Meanwhile, it hasn’t been confirmed if DWTS will return for a second series next year, despite its incredible popularity. The decision lies solely with RTE and they have yet to make a call on it.
