Who would have thought?
Yes, US comedian and TV host Conan O’Brien has been seen travelling around Ireland as he traces his Irish roots.
Conan made pitstops in Dublin, Galway and Limerick while filming for his new travel show Conan O’Brien Must Go, as he maps out his Irish family heritage.
This comes after Conan previously opened up about his family history with Ryan Tubridy live on Virgin Radio UK last Friday, when he spoke about sending off a DNA blood sample in 2019, which returned as “100pc Irish”.

Since his arrival, Conan has been posting to social media about his travels in Ireland and even met with a genealogist.
He also met a local man, Jim Fitzgerald, in the village of Galbally, Co Limerick, who showed him where his great-grandfather lived before he emigrated in the late 1870s.
Conan’s great-grandfather Daniel O’Brien married Margaret Dempsey from nearby Emly, Co Tipperary.
Jim explained to Conan that the village has existed since the 1400s.
In a video posted to X, Conan can be seen standing on a piece of land telling his followers how he found his ancestral home.
“This is where my great grandfather Thomas O’Brien lived and he left this piece of land, came to America, moved to central Massachusetts,” he said.
“And the rest is a disaster. But anyway, cool to be back.”
The show is due to be broadcast in the US later this year, showing the comedian touring the O’Brien ancestral home in Limerick.
