Love/Hate actors Aidan Gillen and Charlie Murphy are set to join the cast of BBC’s Peaky Blinders. Fellow Irish star Cillian Murphy already holds the starring role of Thomas Shelby on the show.
Aside from their roles on the RTE crime drama, Aidan is best known for playing Petyr ‘Littlefinger’ Baelish on Game of Thrones, while Charlie has acted in 2013 film Philomena and a number of television dramas including Happy Valley.
This casting news comes after it was just revealed that Adrian Brody will also be joining the Peaky Blinders team. Deadline reported that creator and writer at the show Steven Knight is delighted to have these new additions on board for series four.
“We have a dream team gathered for series four of Peaky Blinders, coming to us for love of the series which is great.
“Adrien Brody, Aidan Gillen and Charlie Murphy give us a wealth of talent to work with. And with Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley returning, we couldn’t have hoped for more,” he said.
Filming of series four is already underway in Liverpool, and we can’t wait to see it.
