The Restaurant star Tom Doorley has quit the popular dining show following a spat with restaurant owner Marco Pierre White.
The celebrity chef, who joined the show in 2014, announced his departure from the show over the weekend.
“It was a gradual decision, but I realised a few weeks ago that I was not going to be part of the next series,” Tom revealed in his column for The Mail On Sunday.
He continued on to admit that his co-star on the show, Marco Pierre White was part of the reason for his departure.
He described him as “unbearable”, and said he had taken over the show, with the Restaurant even moving from Wine Port in Athlone to Marco’s own restaurant in Donnybrook.
Marco has yet to respond to the comments made, but Tom did admit that he had wished him well and thanked him when he revealed that he was leaving the show.
