Last night’s Late Late Toy Show went down a storm, after all the anticipation and excitement in the lead up to the big night.
Just like every other year, there was adorable kids, impressive toys, and best of all, Ryan’s Christmas Jumpers.
We were glued to our screens throughout the night, and these are our five best moments from RTE One’s most festive evening.
1. Ryan’s Sea Puns:

The lobster himself, Mr. Tubs played a blinder last night. Whether it was keeping up with the excited kids, remembering his lines while making several outfit changes, or especially keeping his cool when things got emotional, we think he did a fantastic job. But it was his take on the nautical theme that had us chuckling away all night. For Cod’s Hake would ye all relax!
2: The Family Reunion:

We think this may be one of the best Toy Show moments of all time, never mind just last night. The adorable Adam and Kayla had us captivated with their story from word go, which made their solider dad, who was meant to have been in Mali until January, popping 0ut to surprise them eve more special. We’re not crying, YOU’RE cyring!
3: The Fantastic Performance by Maiú Levi Lawlor:
A well deserved standing ovation for Maiú Levi Lawlor from Greystones Co Wicklow after a stunning version of Don’t Rain on My Parade, accompanied by St. Paul’s Primary School from Navan in Co Meath #LateLateToyShow pic.twitter.com/Mf4sZEhSMo — The Late Late Show (@RTELateLateShow) December 1, 2017
What a voice! This little boy wonder singing Don’t Rain On My Parade had audiences captivated and in awe of such a big voice coming from such a little man. The standing ovation at the end made it what had to jave been one of the moments of Maiú’s life! Amazing!
4: Tadhg Purcell’s Hilarious Moment:

This was one of the more bizarre moments from the hilarious show. The sight of Ryan spinning a child around the floor, holding on to a Stretch Armstong doll was not one we were expecting to see, bur we’re not complaining! It also garnered the funniest twitter reaction of the night!
5: The Galway Team Surprise:
Hurling superfan Daniel Brogan (9) from Oranmore, Co Galway surprised by his heroes, the Galway team! #LateLateToyShow pic.twitter.com/AoQhgo7M67

We do love a good celebrity surprise on the Toy Show, and this year’s one was just great. Little Oran from Co. Galway was just about a big a fan as you can get. Which is why his heroes from the All-Ireland winning Galway side surprising him with some gifts and The Liam McCarthy Cup made his night even more special!
So last night was a mix of hilarious and emotional, but we wouldn’t have it any other way! Roll on next year.
