Ticketmaster has revealed how you can attend Ed Sheeran’s gig if you weren’t the one who bought the ticktets.

The company previously warned punters not to buy tickets as gifts for people as the attendee needs to match the name on the ticket and have the credit card used to buy them.

“On all the stadium dates you will be required to bring your tickets, booking confirmation and credit card, plus a valid form of ID or you will not be granted entry to the show,” the company announced.

The left many people frustrating as many parents hoped to purchase tickets for their children and others hoped to buy them as gifts.

Now however, the sellers have revealed that there is a way for those who did not buy the tickets to attend the show.

“Please purchase tickets in the cardholder’s name and on the day of the show please provide the attending party with the credit card, or a photocopy/photo of the card used at the time of booking,” a statement from Ticketmaster explained.

“You will also need to bring along a valid ID to reflect family name.”

There are also different procedures for those who bought tickets online and in person.

“For tickets purchased online: To gain access to the concert you are required to bring your tickets along with the purchasing credit card or a photo/photocopy of the credit card and a valid form of ID to reflect family name.

“For tickets purchased in outlets: Whether you have paid by cash or credit card your name will be printed on your tickets and you will be required to bring valid ID, or a photocopy, to gain access to the show.”

Ed Sheeran will play a total of 9 gigs in Ireland during his massive stadium tour next year.

The singer had originally planned to play seven shows in Ireland next summer, but after tickets sold out within a day, he has added two new dates.

A third date was added for Cork’s Páirc Uí Chaoimh which will see him perform on Sunday May 6, 2018, as well as a third night for Dublin’s Phoenix Park on Saturday May 19, 2018.

Tickets go on sale Saturday morning at 9am, with prices ranging between €81- €91.
