Nine year old Charlie Brunton from Cavan has landed himself a job on the Late Late Toy Show this Friday night after sending Ryan Tubridy a super sweet letter.
Charlie asked if he could help out and be a stage hand for the night, and good news for him – he’s been accepted for the job!
In his letter, Charlie detailed why exactly he wanted to be a part of the show, explaining that he’s now a big boy and signed off by saying he “better go before mam loses her voice calling me for dinner :).”
His mum, Breege has since spoken out, saying, “Charlie is very handy with a hammer and we have lots of evidence with with hammer prints on window boards, missing pieces off tables and no plasters left.
“He looked at the muscles on his arms and decided they were definitely ready for that job. When I was rushing out to work one morning he produced a sealed envelope and asked me to write Ryan Tubridy’s address.
“Every so often he would ask, ‘did Ryan Tubridy ring me?’ We can’t believe that we did get the call.
“He still doesn’t he will be on it. He has become a local celebrity. Everyone in our rural parish knows. Our lives at the minute are all arranged around Friday and he is enjoying every minute of it.”
Catch the show, and check out Charlie’s handy work, this Friday night.
