On Wednesday night, Bank of Ireland at College Green in Dublin was transformed into a sanctuary of style, as hundreds of the city’s best dressed fashionistas turned out to watch the Young Designer of the Year fashion show.
As the highlight of the Dublin Fashion Festival in association with Galaxy, the event saw a number of Ireland’s budding designers compete for the coveted title of Young Designer of the Year.
Hosted by designers Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney, guests were treated the work of designers from across Ireland, and guests such as the face of the festival, Darren Kennedy, and Xpose presenter Glenda Gilson were in attendance.
Other fashion experts at the show were judges Irish Independent’s fashion editor Bairbre Power, renowned fashion photographer, Barry McCall, TV3 Xposé producer, Debbie O’ Donnell, owner of The Design Centre, Ashling Kilduf, head of personal and private shopping at Brown Thomas, Caroline Hanratty and head of personal and private shopping at Arnotts, Clara Halpin.
Guests were treated to delicious cocktails courtesy of West Coast Cooler, whilst DJ Steve Cooper spun the decks until late.
