We’ve had plenty to enjoy this week.
From new beauty launches to new gig announcements to summer dining, there’s lots to love.
We’ve been busy watching the new season of The Witcher and reading books like The Girls of Summer by Katie Bishop and The Couples by Lauren Mackenzie.
Here’s what we’ve been loving this week…
Deputy Editor Michelle is loving…Tan Enhancer Drops
Nothing beats a summer glow, that sun-kissed look, and now it couldn’t be easier to achieve – and you don’t even have to step foot outside the door to get it. Add lashings of SPF all over your body (we care about our skin here, y’know?!), and achieve a subtle tan from a bottle with Bellamianta’s new concentrated tan boosting drops. All you need to do is add a few drops to your favourite body lotion or moisturiser while applying them to your skin, to offer a glow which you control, depending on the amount of product you use.
As well as tanning the skin, the tan-boosting drops are packed full of skin-loving ingredients! Hyaluronic acid and panthenol will add moisture to the skin, and niacinamide helps to even out the texture. A total winner and a summer beauty bag must-have!
Pick the Tan Enhancer Drops, €43, in select stores and online now!
Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving…The 1900
There is nothing I love more than summer dining. And is there anything better than finding a new restaurant that you adore?
This week I was kindly invited to The 1900 Bar & Restaurant, a spot in the heart of Dublin city on Harcourt Street. We arrived at 7pm for our booking and were greeted by some of the most friendly people we have ever met.
We enjoyed a bottle of wine as well as a delicious main course and dessert. I tucked into a delicious fillet steak with chunky chips and fresh veggies. The restaurant is well-known for its steak, so I had to try it. The Irish grass-fed cuts are dry-aged for 28 days from FX Buckley.
I have a massive sweet tooth so I picked the chocolate mousse for dessert and it was truly such a treat.
Weekend editor Sláine is loving…Olivia Rodrigo
Olivia Rodrigo has made her grand return!
The singer had a meteoric rise to fame with her debut album Sour in 2021, but despite her success, she was immediately hit with one-hit wonder speculation and sophomore slump predictions (quite unfairly, we might add).
But the first single of her second album, Guts, was just released today, and it’s safe to say Olivia is here to stay and make her mark on the music industry.
Her latest single Vampire has been playing on repeat since it was released just a few hours ago. Summer songs are usually upbeat, fast-paced, cheery tracks. But Olivia went in a completely different direction bringing back brooding pop ballads, and I’m loving it.
Not to mention the music video, the misty and mysterious setting is the perfect homage to all the vampire media, we know and love. Whether you’re a Twilight fan, Vampire Diaries fanatic, or True Blood loyalist, there is something there for everyone.
