The VIP List: Here’s what we’re loving this week

Where is the time going?

We’re over halfway through 2024. And that means we have plenty to love!

Here’s what we’re loving this week…

Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving… at home skincare

I love taking care of my skin. As much as I adore a gorgeous facial, it’s just not practical to be heading off every week to get one.

So I try to make sure that my at-home care routine is just as perfect as it would be in a clinic. One thing I’ve recently been obsessed with is LED therapy.

Haumea’s new LED Tri Booster Device utilises advanced technology with scientifically proven benefits, backed by extensive research which combines three advanced technologies: three LED light wavelengths, thermoheat, and sonic pulsations to target, treat and deeply penetrate ingredients.

And since I started using this really neat, hand-held device my skin has never looked so good!

Head of Digital Jade is loving… A solid skin supplement

I’m a supplement girl, but generally only for things inside of my body, not out.

I recently started taking a supplement to help with skin pigmentation (I tend to be quite red), and even though it’s early days I’m excited to see how my skin reacts.

The Skin Even IQ supplements from Advanced Nutrition Programme are science-led and promise to deliver a radiant complexion and unify the skin tone.

Owned and manufactured by IIAA (International Institute For Active Ageing), the brand uses innovation to redefine skincare using capsules, recommended by professionals depending on your skin concerns.

It’s safe to say I’m only dying to see the results! Find out more here.

Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving… alcohol-free beer

We all know that summer includes meeting up with pals, barbecues and enjoying the sunshine.

Usually with some sort of beverage. But sometimes you don’t want to drink alcohol. Enter Fierce Mild, a non-alcoholic brewed locally in Dundalk.

Designed to challenge the norms of big beer brands and offer a satisfying alternative for curious and progressive beer enthusiasts, Fierce Mild champions the true character of beer for the sessions that never have to end.

I’m a big fan!

Head of Commercial and Events Rebecca is loving…a clear complexion

This summer I am on a skin journey trying to get a clearer complexion, so I have started BBL, which is the latest generation of IPL, in South William Street Clinic in Dublin.

I, like most Irish people, suffer with very red cheeks, as well as, broken capillaries and pigmentation, and after just two sessions I can already see a huge improvement.

BBL Hero uses light energy to quickly and gently heat the upper layers of the skin which allows for the fast removal of pigmentation, sun spots, facial vascular concerns including bruises and broken capillaries.

I found this treatment relatively painless, and the best bit is that is a fast procedure with no real downtime. For more info, check out southwilliamclinic.com

Staff Writer Anja is loving…WICKED

We all know I’m a musical gal by now, so when I found out that WICKED was flying back to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, I couldn’t have been happier. Wicked was actually the first musical I ever saw in the Bord Gáis when I was twelve years old. And I don’t know, maybe because it was my first show or maybe it’s due to the fact that the music and acting is next to none, but since that moment it has remained one of my favourite musicals of all time.

What made this particular production all the more special, was that our very own Sarah O’Connor was cast as the first-ever Irish woman to play Glinda in the smash-hit musical – and she absolutely smashed it, might I add! To give you some backstory, Wicked tells the untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two young women who first meet as sorcery students at Shiz University: the blonde and very popular Glinda and a misunderstood green girl named Elphaba. However, following an encounter with The Wizard, their friendship reaches a crossroads, and their lives take very different paths.

With the movie due to hit cinemas later this year, this really is no better time to book that ticket and learn what this fantastic musical is all about. The show is running until 14 September, while tickets can be purchased here.

Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving… chic workout gear

Working out can be…well, tough. You need motivation to do it.

And I think the best motivation is some cute workout gear. I’ve fallen in love with Fleur East’s fashion-forward collection with Dare2B.

Not only is it really chic, it’s very practical for all your exercise needs!

Head of Digital Jade is loving… Cupa Sona Sásta

I’m happiest when I’ve got a lil drink in my hand.

Or, as you’d say as Gaeilge, sona sásta le deochín i mo lámh.

Donegal company Mara Duit have just launched their latest product, a reusable, double-walled insulated tumbler that keeps your drinks cool for a full six hours, is fully sustainable, and got the Irish language at heart.

Honestly, how gorgeous is that design? Find out more here.

Head of Commercial and Events Rebecca is loving…being blonde!

For any blonde the desire to be blonder and keep that shade in good condition is a constant struggle, so it’s really important to find a talented stylist that you trust to help you achieve this.

This week, I popped into my faves, Platinum Hair Extensions on D’Oiler Street, who are not only experts in luxury hair extension application, but they are also the best in the business when it comes to hair colouring and styling.

I am fully obsessed with how clean and bright my new do is after a full head of highlights and I can honestly say that it is in the best condition it has ever been in, all thanks to the great advice and care from the team in Platinum.
