The VIP List: What the team has been loving this week

Like the rest of the country, Team VIP has been soaking up the sun this week. However, when we’re not working on our tan we’ve been keeping pretty busy.

From interviewing our favourite Irish celebrities to heading to events, the grind never stops!

So what exactly have we all been loving this week?

Deputy Editor, Niamh Devereux is loving… the Dyson Airwrap

Niamh Devereux

This week, Dyson invited me into Dylan Bradshaw’s salon for a demonstration of the new and improved Airwrap styler by the man himself. Yes, this tool is pricey; but for at-home hair styling, it is a game changer.

I thought it might be complicated to use, but Dylan showed me just how easy it is once you get the hang of it; he created this shaggy wave look from wet hair in 15 minutes, drying 80% of the hair with the Airwrap before loosely curling with the barrels.

The new attachments are so clever, from a switch on the barrels to easily change the direction of airflow to a flyaway smoother that basically hoovers away any baby hairs. It is an investment, but it’s basically everything you need in one tool to recreate bouncy, shiny, salon-worthy hair. €549, Dyson.ie

Digital Editor, Bronwyn O’Neill adores…The Body Shop refill station

Being sustainable can be hard, especially when it comes to essential products like shampoo and body wash. They usually come in single-use plastic containers and I’ve been trying to find an eco-friendly alternative.

Thankfully, The Body Shop kindly invited me into their shop on Grafton Street this week to show me their new refill station which allows you to buy reusable bottles and fill them with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. However, the plan is to roll this out to every single product in the store.

I’ve been a long-time lover of The Body Shop products, so I was delighted to try out their ginger shampoo, which is working wonders for my hair! The incredible shampoo costs €10.50 with the refillable bottle and then just €8 each time you refill.

Not only does it save the planet, but it also saves your wallet! Click here to find out more!

Staff Editor, Michelle Dardis is all about… sheet masks for sunshine

I’ve been making the most of every minute of the recent sunshine, spending my days outdoors and in the sea whenever possible but the heat and salty water left my skin feeling a little drier than usual. Image Skincare’s Hydrating Hydrogel sheet masks have come to the rescue, instantly replenishing the moisture on my face.

For an added bonus, I’ve been sticking mine in the fridge so they’re nice and cool whenever I apply them – usually during Love Island for some added relaxation!

Available at imageskincare.com or millies.ie. I’d recommend stocking up!

As someone with a bit of a skincare obsession, a strong brand is always appreciated. I’m talking about a brand you can rely on for any product really, not just one or two gems. Unfortunately, these can be hard to find, but luckily I discovered First Aid Beauty.

Okay to be fair, I’ve loved First Aid Beauty for a while now, but this week they’ve officially earned Holy Grail status.

Over the past few months, I’ve tried a few of their products like their Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Cream, Ultra Repair Lip Therapy, Ultra Repair Wild Oat Soothing Toner, and loved them all! But last month I tried their cult favourite, Ultra Repair Cream…and it’s a game changer.

After waiting a month to see the full effect of the product, this week my skin looked and felt so soft and dewy.

It’s been a big help with everything like hydration, acne, reducing redness, and of course, repairing the skin barrier. And I even noticed that it holds up well by itself on nights when I was too tired to do a full routine with serums and everything.

So First Aid Beauty is definitely in my top spot for best skincare brand, and I can’t wait to try more of their products!
