Fans can start to get excited as the start date for EastEnders spinoff drama Redwater edges closer.
The show will feature soap favourites Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace, or Kat and Alfie Moon as they’re better known, and will follow their new life in small Irish fishing village, Redwater.
There has been a lot of speculation over when the new six-part drama is set to air, but now finally Shane has finally revealed all.
Appearing on The One Show yesterday he confirmed that Redwater will begin in roughly two months time, and will follow the couple’s journey to finding Kat’s long lost son, a storyline that began on EastEnders last year.
“We filmed it for five months last year and it will hopefully be hitting the BBC screens between March and April.
“Hopefully me and Jessie will be coming here to talk about it and hopefully show you an exclusive trailer. We are so excited about it,” he said.
We can’t wait to see it!
