The Revolut co-founder has donated €1.1 million to The Late Late Toy Show Appeal

What a generous gesture!

The Late Late Toy Show Appeal has reached a total of €6.5 million, what an amazing achievement for all involved.

During the show on Friday and over the weekend viewers were asked to donate to the Toy Show Appeal if they could, RTE had partnered with Revolut to make donating even easier.

Although there were some technical difficulties that had some people unable to use the app, because of this, the co-owner of the app pledged to donate €100,000 to the cause as well as matching any more donations made over the weekend up to €1 million, and that’s exactly what he did!

Vlad Yatsenko donated €1.1 million in total, taking the total amount raised to a wonderful €6.5 million.

The money will be distributed among children’s charities in Ireland.

Kelly Harrington encouraged people to donate with a video on Sunday, letting people know of Vlad’s offer.
