Alan Hughes is set to marry his long term love Karl Broderick later this year.
The pair, who have been together for 22 years and civil partners since 2011, are planning to wed on the same date, of September 30, this year.
Despite the previous ceremony being a hugely lavish affair, this one will be a lot more low-key.
Speaking to Mail on Sunday, Alan said, “It will be somewhere down the country and we are thinking it will be a smaller affair with family and close friends.”
At the time of their civil partnership, Alan revealed to VIP what he would say to people who don’t agree with him marrying Karl.
“Live and let live,” he said. “It’s that simple. And I think if anyone who thought it wasn’t right had come to our wedding, and seen the love in that church, that ceremony, they would change their minds.”
