Thalia Heffernan made the big jump earlier this year and chose to move to the States to further her modelling career.
While she is living her best life over there, it certainly isn’t without its hardships.
Something that she learned when she returned to Ireland after spending the last few months in New York.
She was left in tears as she had a very emotional reunion in her home.

The model was unable to hold back as she reunited with her two dogs, Leonard and Charlie. The lurchers weren’t able to travel to New York with her and she chose to leave them in Ireland.
“Home. When we rescued these boys, they really rescued us,” she wrote as she shared the emotional video.
“So emotional watching this I totally agree,” Lorraine Keane commented.
Both Glenda Gilson and Rob Kenny simply wrote: “Awww.”
“I’m bawling,” Courtney Smith added.
Thalia shared the news of her move earlier this year after she signed with elite agency IMG Models, she headed to New York to pursue her dream.
“If you’ve been here long enough, you might remember I was in the States just before COVID and I signed with IMG over there,” she explained at the time.
“It was an amazing moment for me, and I really hoped to have gotten over sooner but then COVID happened and the world ended. But here we are now, and it might be two, three years later but I am going to New York in the morning.”
At the time she wasn’t sure how long she would be staying in New York, Thalia said that she may be back in December.
“I don’t have a timeline on it necessarily so I don’t really know when I’m going to be back. It’ll probably be around Christmas time.”
