Before she leaves our shores VIP Magazine caught up with her at the Hayu STELLAR InstaStar Awards where she revealed all about her big move.
We chatted just a handful of days after she hung up her mic, with the DJ confessing: “It was really emotional. Today is the first day that I can talk about it and not start crying. I’m an emotional b***h so it happens.”
As for her farewell to 2FM she admits: “It was nice. It was hard to keep it together every time I was talking. It was happy tears. I wanted a fresh start. I wanted to move to London. Everyone in 2FM has been so supportive and my bosses have been amazing. It’s really nice.”
While she will be living in London, Tara has no plans to bid farewell to Ireland fulltime.
“You will see me walking down the street and be like ‘Oh I thought she had moved to London.’,” she jokes.
“My boyfriend is staying here. We’ll be back and forth all the time. I’m DJIng over here. I’m moving but I’ll still be here loads. I’m just not going to be on 2FM.”
Of course, it’s an exciting time in her life, so we just had to know what she was most excited for in London.
“I’m excited for the food. I’m excited for all the new restaurants to try, I’m such a foodie. I’ll be able to go to more gigs. I love my show but it’s hard because it’s in the evening so I can’t go to gigs.”
We feel you, Tara! And we can’t wait to see where her adventure brings her.
