We caught up with Jenny Greene to find out what music made her…
What music is on repeat now?
At the moment I’m listening to a mixture of stuff. I’ve a lot of Keinemusik on repeat, their DJ sets. They’re a German collective. I’m listening to Loyle Carner and Little Simz.
What’s your feel good track, what gives you a serotonin boost?
It’s a bit of a guilty pleasure but it always puts me in good form, so it has to be The Gipsy Kings for the win.
What do you listen to when you’re in a bad mood?
Moby’s Play album. It’s a very relaxing and mellow album. I find it brings me right down when I’m wound up.
What artist are you loving at the moment?
Fontaines D.C. I can’t wait to listen to their new album, people have been talking about it for months so I’m really looking forward to it.
What did you listen to growing up, what was the soundtrack of your childhood?
It started when I was about four, listening to Paul Simon and Bruce Springsteen. Then in my early teens it was Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre. Onwards until now, it’s been electronic music. There’s been a bit of everything!
What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
Oh, it was either 2018 or 2019, I was playing at the Jazz Festival in Cork which I do every year, and we went to see Sinead O’Connor. We were very lucky to witness that. It was the last time I saw her performing live and it was just incredible.
Jenny Greene will be headlining Púca Festival this October. Tickets on sale now, available from pucafestival.com
