With not one hair out of place, top blogger Louise O’Reilly opted for a straight and sleek hairstyle at the 2017 Peter Mark VIP Style Awards.

Before walking the red carpet, we caught up with Louise in the beauty room to find out more about the stunning look.

“I’m very conscious of my hair matching the dress,” she said. “I’ve a lot of embellishment on my dress so we’re going to go for something quite simple, but still classy.

“It’s going to be brushed back on either side, with a bit of height and lift. Having it clipped back on both sides will stop me from messing with it throughout the night. It’ll wear well and hold all day.”

And how do you recreate this look at home, we hear you ask? Michael Corcoran from Peter Mark tells us his step-by-step guide!

“First of all you start off by blowdrying the hair nice and straight,” he tells us.

“Afterwards, I’m going to run the steam pod over it. When you smoothen the hair with a steam-pod, you smoothen with moisture so that way the hair isn’t as thirsty for moisture.

“It just means it’ll stay sleek and smooth. I put a bit of product through the front – it’ll ensure a nice shine. I use Redken Shine Flash.

“I backcomb a little through the top section of the crown just to give a bit of height so there’s a juxtaposition between the flat, straight hair and the height at the back.

“I make sure the front strands of hair are secure at the nape of the neck. I’d use a bobbin for that because nobody will see it. You don’t have to worry about this coming loose at all. It will hold for the night.”

Finally, smooth the hair over, and blast with some hairspray.

Will you be recreating the look?
