Ryan Tubridy has admitted that he will be flying solo this Valentines Day, and he is more than happy about it.
The RTE star revealed that he will be de-stressing from work by having some quiet me-time, which will be well deserved after The Late Late Show Valentine’s Special tonight.
Ryan announced that he will be spending his Valentines day walking to his local cinema and watching a film alone.
“I’ll go for a walk and see a film. I always go to the cinema on my own. I usually go on a Monday afternoon, I’ll just slip away, turn my phone off and I just need to stop because I’m always talking” he told The Herald.
He also told the paper that outside of his job he enjoys the simple life, and that you won’t often find him at premieres and events. “I’ll have been invited to the premiere of it weeks before which I’ll have ignored. You don’t see me at any of those events. So I just walk the pier and I listen to Desert Island discs, i’ve got quite a simple existence beyond the walls here and it’s lovely ” he explained.
Regarding his love life, Ryan said that he is focussing on his work at the moment, following the split from his other half, Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin.“No, I’m not discussing it. I just don’t get into that. I just focus on the job.”
