We can’t believe it. The time has come to bid farewell to Ryan Tubridy.
Over the weekend it was confirmed that Patrick Kielty would be taking over as presenter for the iconic show.
But we have one more episode with Ryan to enjoy this Friday.
He teased what to expect from his final show and we have to say that it sounds unmissable.
“I’ll be back here next week for my last ever Late Late Show. I’m looking forward to a night of celebration and fun with great people and the session to end all sessions,” he explained at the end of his penultimate Late Late.
While he hasn’t revealed who will be joining him for his last-ever show, he did tease a Toy Show reunion.
“We’re also going to have a Toy Show reunion, some of the youngsters, to see how tall they are now. It’s going to be lovely,” he revealed.
“So you’re all invited to join the party. Won’t you come along for one more for the road? Thanks for watching and take care. We’re nearly there. Goodnight.”
We’re getting emotional just thinking about it.
Over the weekend, it was confirmed that Patrick Kielty would step into the presenting role.
We will be seeing him starting up his hosting role this September.
Sharing his excitement at joining the prestigious show, the comedian said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be the next host of The Late Late Show.
“To follow in the footsteps of Gay, Pat and Ryan as the next custodian is a real honour and I can’t thank RTÉ enough for giving me the chance to be a part of the next chapter of such an iconic show.”
“I’m also genuinely humbled to become part of Friday nights for so many Irish people, at home and around the world. I can’t wait to get started on one of the greatest jobs in television.”
