RTÉ’s Richie Sadlier and his wife Fiona have announced that they are expecting the birth of their second child.
The couple, who welcomed their first child Sam in February 2023, took to social media to share the happy news.
“Some lovely news …. We’ve got another little miracle on the way,” Richie wrote alongside an adorable photo of Sam looking at a scan photo hung on the Christmas tree.
“All going well, Sam will become a big brother towards the end of May,” Richie added.

“Hard to believe that after everything we’ve been through, we’re on the verge of being a family of four.
“As ever, big hugs to anyone going through challenges of any kind in this area,” he noted before signing off.
Both Richie and Fiona have previously opened up about their struggles conceiving, having gone through a number of unsuccessful rounds of IVF.
So we couldn’t be happier for the pair!
Previously reflecting on Sam’s birth while on the Tommy Tiernan show Richie said: “He was born on a Friday… I’m only recently at the stage where I can say “my son” without crying.
“Every time I talk about it or think about it in depth, I get like this.
“But when he came out, just all that other, all that other sh**e we’d gone through, it was just like not that was worth it or that it didn’t hurt, or we don’t regret… none of that matters now. It just doesn’t matter.”
A huge congratulations to you both!
