RTE has revealed the top 10 highest paid employees in the TV and radio company.
The salaries released are from 2016, as earnings are published two years in arrears.
Ryan Tubridy remains the highest paid host on €495,000 with his work on The Late Late Show and Radio 1.
Some of the salaries have gone up by as much 50k in one year, with presenter Ray Darcy now on €450,000.
The national broadcaster said that there has been a 32% reduction in earnings in RTE since 2008.
“The audited figures released today for 2016 sees RTÉ maintain our commitment to reduce these earnings by 30% as compared to 2008 levels, while continuing to value the significant contribution our presenters make, and to RTÉ’s ability to optimise commercial revenue to support Ireland’s public media,” RTÉ Director-General, Dee Forbes, said.
She added: “This will continue to be an area of focus for me. Within a challenging marketplace and in the absence of meaningful funding reform, we are making significant efforts to reduce costs across the organisation, in addition to the considerable reduction in operating costs implemented since 2008.”
