Exciting news for Evanne Ní Chuilinn and her husband, Brian Fitzsimons as they have welcomed their third child into the world.

The RTÉ sports presenter revealed the news on social media alongside a gorgeous snap of their baby boy captioned; “He’s here and he’s perfect.”

“Our little 10 pound 4 ounce buster arrived after lunch today Jan 4th – by far the most emotional arrival, after such a long journey. We are just so so happy and grateful.”

“Teidí Dermot Fitzsimons, fáilte romhat, grá mo chroí,” she added.

Many famous faces were quick to share their congratulations with the RTÉ star, including Síle Seoige, who recently welcomed her second child; “Aww Evanne! Comhghairdeas mór millteach. I am so so happy for you and your family. Tá sé állain ar fad.”

Kathryn Thomas who has also become a mother for the second time herself said; “Huge congrats evanne… he’s gorgeous well done mama…. The most amazing beautiful perfect pay off after the winding road you had.”

Muireann O’Connell also shared her delight at the news; ” Ahh Evanne! Congratulations to you and the whole family. He’s a dote! Hope you’re feeling ok.”

Evanne revealed she was expecting her third child last year, as it meant she had to pull out of travelling to Tokyo to cover the Olympics. At the time she said; “I am pulling out for the best possible reason and for the only reason I would pull out, for my family and my health.”

The couple are already parents to Seimi, who is nine and Peigi who is six, and they conceived Teidí through IVF. Speaking about this she shared; “We’re delighted. It’s been a long road. People are shocked when I tell them because I think they make assumptions when you have a nine-year-old and a six-year-old that you’re done. Thankfully IVF worked first time.”

Sharing her thanks as she announced her news Evanne said; “Staff at the Coombe are under savage pressure, and they are angels, as always. Special thanks to Prof Mary Wingfield and her amazing team at @merrion_fertility_clinic for helping us bring Teidí into the world.”

“Séimí and Peigí are so excited to meet their little bro.”
