Well-known presenter Ray Foley has shocked his listeners by revealing he is moving on from Dublin radio station 98FM. Ray will present his last show with the station on Christmas Eve and plans to concentrate on his TV work and other plans in the New Year.
Speaking ahead of his departure, Ray said: “98FM has been a big part of my life for the past three years. I’ve been lucky to work with a really fantastic team each morning, and I would like to thank them for everything. With the end of the year just around the corner, the time feels right to make a change and I’m looking forward to new challenges and focusing on other things in 2016.”
Chief Executive of 98FM, Keith McCormack said: “On behalf of everyone here at 98FM I would like to thank Ray for his hard work and dedication to the station over the past three years. We will be launching a new show – ‘98FM’s Big Breakfast’ in January, which will continue to focus on playing the great music our listeners love and we will be announcing full details of that in the New Year.”
