Popular Red Rock detective sergent Nikki Grogan could be set to make her return to the harbour village in the near future.
Actress Valerie O’Connor, who plays the role of the no nonsense detective, was sent to a station in Donegal a couple of months ago. However, in reality Valerie was written out of the show for her maternity leave.
Now having given birth to her daughter Mary Rae eight months ago the Dubliner is ready and excited to return to the TV3 drama soon.
Speaking to the Irish Daily Mirror she said, “I might be heading back alright, we’re just in talks at the moment. Maybe, that is as much as I can say for now.
“It’s been gorgeous, really lovely to have the time off and I’ve enjoyed it. But it would be really nice to get back to work. I’m at that stage now where Mary Rae is nearly eight months old so I’m getting the pang to go back.
“I’ve been professionally acting since I was 16 so I can’t imagine not going back to it. It’s a good job to have if you have kids because you can work your schedule around them to an extent.”
Meanwhile, Red Rock lost terrifying drug lord and killer Laser Byrne last night, after he was shot and killed by crooked Garda Rory Walsh.
