CARI hosted their annual Christmas Lunch at Intercontinental, Ballsbridge recently, which was a resounding success. CARI, whose Patron is Miriam Ahern, provides a professional child therapy and counselling service to children and families who have been affected by child sexual abuse.
Glamorous ladies dressed in chic seasonal looks were out in force to enjoy the wonderful surroundings of Intercontinental. Marks & Spencer Ireland were on hand to support again this year with a generous champagne reception along with wine to accompany a delicious four-course gourmet lunch. The charismatic Alan Hughes from TV3 was the MC for the afternoon. During lunch guests were entertained by The Halleluia Gospel Choir, Paul Byrom and Sisters of Sound.
Guests who attended on the day included Miriam Ahern and Terry Mc Coy, Georgina Byrne, Cecelia Ahern and Yvonne Connolly. Also in attendance were Carmel Breheny from M&S, Michelle Spillane, Claire Ronan, and Gary Kavanagh to name but a few of the social faces who were enjoying the afternoon.
In excess of €20,000 was raised at the lunch, which is essential to CARI to maintain each and every one of their important services for children. Click through the gallery for all the photos from the event – all pics by Brian McEvoy.
