Dublin’s victorious All-Ireland team swapped their jerseys for suits as they stepped out to celebrate to win with their glamorous partners last night.
Loyal supporters waited to greet the GAA players for when they arrived at plush Gibson Hotel just after 7pm and met them with cheers and applause.
After posing for photos and meeting fans, the team sat down for dinner at the hotel for 400+ family and friends, and chowed down on a lavish meal of a smoke salmon and prawn starter, sirloin steak for main and a trio of desserts, before partying the night away.
An onlooker at the hotel commented: “Everyone was in really good spirits and having a good time.
“The team were happy to pose with passers-by on the way to work for photos – I don’t know how they weren’t exhausted.”
Dublin coach Jim Gavin told the Herald that he was extremely proud of the players and expected them to have a good night, before making a visit to Crumlin Children’s Hospital today.
“It’s a great time in the players’ lives and we need to cherish the moment, so it’s going to be a good night,” he said.
