Former Xposé presenter Peter O’Riordan has updated followers after losing his Hawaiian home in the Maui wildfires.
The presenter and his wife Stephanie, along with their children, relocated there in 2016.
Taking to Twitter, Peter shared his heartbreak at the devastating impact the fires are having on his life, and community.
“House gone, car gone, kids house gone, grandma’s house gone, everyone out safe… this is a living nightmare. Pray for us here in Maui,” he wrote.
The Cork native then shared a photo of a school bag claiming: “This is everything I own – my passport and green card were torched along with everything else.”
“I’m literally in pure devastation. I don’t know how we will proceed as a community. We have all lost everything.”
The wildfires have devastated the island, tragically taking the lives of 55 people, leaving 1000 missing, and 11,000 displaced. Many homes, schools, and community facilities have also been destroyed.
