The Capri (or pedal-pusher if you will) was created by fashion designer Sonja de Lennart, in 1948. The over-the-knee figure-hugging trousers were a 1950s summer staple and were modelled by the iconic Audrey Hepburn.
Since their birth on the Italian Island of Capri, these cropped trousers have been revived in many different styles. With the likes of Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid embracing these three-quarter-length style trousers, love’em or hate’em they are well and truly back for summer ’24.
Here is a list of our five favourite capri options for your summer wardrobe (we promise they are trendier than the ones you wore to that birthday party when you were six).
