Paul Mescal will be flying back to Irish shores this month.
The Gladiator actor has been a busy man between award season, filming his new movie and supporting his little sister Nell, as she launches her debut EP.
So it’s been a while since he was able to come home.
Now, he will be jetting into Cork for the Fastnet Film Festival.
The event is taking place in Schull, West Cork from 22nd May to 26th May.
It will screen many feature-length films and hundreds of short films in up to 15 venues.
Those in attendance will be able to enjoy panel discussions, seminars and practical workshops with industry professionals that will be in-depth looks at film-making.
Paul Mescal will have a Normal People reunion as Daisy Edgar-Jones will be in attendance as well.
Also in attendance will be James Nesbitt, Peter Coonan, and Olivia Caffrey. Producers Ed Guiney and David Puttnam and directors Paddy Breathnach, Emer Reynolds, and Lenny Abrahamson will be amongst those sharing their experience in the world of film and television.
The event will feature over 200 short films, 18 feature-length screenings, local interest films and outdoor cinema events. The festival will showcase international films from Scotland, Iran, Poland, Japan, Germany, India, Sardinia, and Portugal.
