One Direction may be reuniting sooner than fans thought, but not for the reasons they’d hoped.

The band have been listed in a High Court action along with other songwriters such as Jamie Scott, Julian Bunetta and John Ryan. Former 1D member Zayn Mallik is also named.

It seems that an Irish law firm, Smyth and Son, issued the legal action against the You Don’t Know You’re Beautiful singers for undisclosed reasons.

One thing that is known is that all three songwriters listed were involved in the production of a number of  One Direction songs, including 2013 hit Story Of My Life. A number of music companies were also mentioned on the action too.

There is no case date set yet, and documents containing the case details won’t be made available until they are filed by the court.
