And now that Part Two has dropped when we can officially confirm that we had to fan ourselves.
Nicola Coughlan teased that her and her co-star Luke Newton broke a piece of furniture during one of those spicy scenes.
And now she has finally revealed what that piece of furniture was.

In the first episode back, Colin and Penelope get to know each other a bit better as a betrothed couple.
In a scene that will send pulses racing the pair ended up breaking the chaise lounge they consumated their love on.
Nicola shared a snap of the pair posing with the broken furniture.
“Part Two is out now, we put our heart and souls into it, hope you love watching it as much as we loved filming it,” she cheekily wrote.

VIP Magazine got to spend some time with Nicola Coughlan when she jetted into Dublin as part of the Bridgerton World Tour.
As the character in Bridgerton who loves to share gossip, we had to ask what is the craziest piece of gossip you’ve heard about herself.
“One that I find really funny is that there’s a TikTok account called Sylvanian Drama and there was a big rumour that it was me. I was like, I don’t know when I’d have the time, I love Sylvanian Drama but it’s not me. It’s so funny,” she told us.
“My friend Camilla [Whitehall], who wrote Big Mood, and I started saying ‘Perf’ to each other all the time because of Sylvanian Drama and now we just use it all the time.”
