Nadia Forde has opened up her heart to the Irish Daily Mail today, and perhaps here most surprising comments are those about plastic surgery. Despite being a staunch advocate of the curvy look, embracing her own gorgeous figure without trying to conform to the stick-thin image of most models, Nadia has revealed that she would definitely consider going under the knife.
“I would definitely consider it (plastic surgery),” she revealed. “If something was bothering me, then yes I would have surgery. And anyone in the business who says they wouldn’t ever consider surgery is lying.”
2015 was a sad year for Nadia, as she lost her Italian-born mother Bernie, from whom she had been estranged for many years, to cancer in July. Nadia described this as the lowest point of her life, but was grateful for the chance to be re-united with her before her death, and also to be able to help her fulfil her dying wish.
“It was my mum’s last wish to be laid to rest in Italy,” she said of Bernie, “so that’s what we as a family did. A few weeks before my mum passed away, she told me her plan or dream was always to settle in Italy, and being in the town where she came from.”
On a happier note, Nadia talked about her boyfriend, Welsh rugby star Dominic Day, whom she has been with for almost a year. Revealing how they came to hook up, Nadia confessed that it was set up by her pal Debbie O’Leary, wife of former Irish rugby star Peter Stringer. “Basically Dom asked Peter about me and they kind of set it up,” revealed Nadia. “So then next time I was visiting Debbie he ‘popped in’. It was kind of embarrassing but nice!”
Talking about Dominic, Nadia said that “He is just my best friend as well as my boyfriend. He makes me laugh every day. All the standard things you hear about a couple – “he makes me happy” etc – I get all that now.”
