When it comes to Muireann O’Connell’s relationship with her mystery fiancé, the Ireland AM presenter prefers to keep her love life private.
However, that doesn’t mean she won’t mention him from time to time.
Yes, the TV personality announced her engagement to her partner back in November 2021, and two years later, fans can’t help but wonder if there is any progress on the wedding plans.
Speaking to The Sunday World, however, Muireann admitted that she’s currently in no rush to walk down the aisle.
“I’ve never thought about getting married so I don’t waste any energy on it. I haven’t thought about anything to do with it,” she confessed.
“I hope to someday be able to buy a house. That’s something I would care about in life, so the wedding isn’t something I lose any sleep over.
“It’s only something that’s brought up by his parents and my mam and friends. They all just want a bit of a party!”
Muireann then admitted that the idea of a wedding is “very different” now following the loss of her father to cancer in 2021.
“It’s different when one parent is gone. My mother would have liked him to have been there and there might have been pressure to have it done before dad was gone, but now it’s grand.
“It’s a very different thing for me now, that all four won’t be there,” she added.
However one thing is for sure and that is Muireann and her fiancé’s, love for one another.
Previously speaking on our podcast, VIP Moments, Muireann couldn’t help but reveal what she loves most about him.
“We laugh all the time. I have never laughed with someone more than I do with him. I love that, I love that we laugh together. I love him for that.”
