Muireann O’Connell is no stranger to dog-sitting, having revealed last year that she was now spending time looking after her pal’s pets.

However not all her experiences have been, how should we say… straightforward?

Just today, Muireann took to social media to share her latest dog-sitting venture.

“We went for the most lovely run yesterday,” the Ireland AM presenter began as she posted a photo of a dog she was minding to her Instagram stories.

“So do you know what I was today, a confident prick.”

Muireann then proceed to explain how the dog broke her collar, while she herself almost dislocated her shoulder after said dog ran after a squirrel.

“Did I mention she doesn’t heel so you have to catch her,” she added.

“It’s like Leonardo DiCaprio going out with an age-appropriate woman. Almost Impossible.”

While last year Muireann almost had a “breakdown” when another dog she was looking after ate a grape.

Posting a video to Instagram at the time, Muireann shared: “Googled it and found out that grapes are indeed toxic to dogs. So then I ring her owner, ‘I think I’ve killed your dog’. She’s like ‘you definitely didn’t kill the dog it’s fine’.”

So, will Muireann ever make the leap and get a dog for herself?

Only time will tell!
