He kept the reason for his departure close to his chest, he simply told The Irish Sun: “I want people to know it’s really painful. This has been the worst time of my life.”
He has now broken his social media silence to thank fans who have been sharing their support for him in recent days.
He shared a picture of himself with Dermot Kennedy lyrics that read: “Better days are coming if no one told ya.”

The professional dancer shared the post to his Stories writing: “Thanks to all of you for the huge support means a lot for me.”
Maurizio was paired with singer Brooke Scullion, with the pair topping the leaderboard since week one.
“I’m here to unfortunately announced something that’s really, really sad,” Maurizio shared on social media just hours before the show.
“Due to a personal problem yesterday, I had to fly back to Italy so automatically I’m out of the show. Which is really, really sad and the worst thing for me.”
Elaborating further, the dancer explained: “Unfortunately, things happen in life and each of us has a priority and my priority now is to solve this problem.”
“It’s very sad. It’s really, really sad. You can’t imagine how I feel, but as I say, ‘it is what it is.’ And I have to face this problem and solve it as soon as possible.”
