It looks like Maura Higgins has bid farewell to her Love Island presenting gig in the States.
The Irish woman had been hosting the spin-off series Aftersun in America last season but now she has hung up her mic.
Sophie Monk, who is the host of Love Island Australia, took her place on the show which aired in the States on Sunday night.
Apparently Maura couldn’t commit to this season due to a scheduling conflict.

A source told The Sun: “Maura wasn’t able to commit to hosting Aftersun this season due to other work commitments, but she will be back on screen in some capacity later in the run.”
It’s rumoured that she could be joining the next season of The Traitors US.
“Welcome Sophie Monk to the Aftersun family!” Love Island’s social media accounts shared with Maura commenting on the post: “Yesss Queen.”
There was also a handing off of the torch as they shared a video of Maura and Sophie on the phone to one another ahead of the first Aftersun of the season.

“From one queen to another… for now,” they teased.
So it looks like Maura could be returning to the show…we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.
Especially as Maura confessed that she had “FOMO” after the first episode aired.
