Mary Byrne has revealed that she is turning her hand to writing with a murder mystery.
The singer and Panto star admitted that she wants to keep life interesting by becoming an author.
Mary also admitted that she has high hopes for the book: “I can see it in Hollywood. I can see it on the screen. For God sake!”
“There’s nobody under me patio, definitely not. Believe you me, it’s not as easy as it comes across to write a book. The ending has changed five times,” she told TVNow.
She added: “I asked Patricia Scanlon if she could get me a ghost writer, so you never know… then we have to look at whether any publisher would want to publish the story?”
The star has been keeping busy with her upcoming panto and various TV appearances but says she likes to change it up to avoid getting bored.
“It’s really about trying to make life interesting when you get over a certain age. You just have to keep trying to make it interesting.”
Mary turned fifty-nine this month and explained that she likes to keep things fresh and continue to update her look.
“Next year I’ll be 60 so I wanted to feel a bit more like a woman again. I got my hair coloured and cut.
“I said to the hairdresser ‘give me something I can style at the front but that is short at the back.’ So, I kept my eyes closed all the way through it and when I looked in the mirror I said ‘I actually like that!’”
We’re looking forward to reading this book!
