
Mary Black has revealed that her upcoming 2026 Irish concerts will be her last before retiring from touring.
The singer first came onto the Irish folk scene in the 70s and has since gone on to win the hearts of the nation by releasing more than a dozen acclaimed albums.
Her final tour, the Slán Tour, will include 11 Irish dates across April, May and June next year.
Sharing the announcement in a statement, Mary said: “I’ve been thinking long and hard about retiring and have finally decided that the time has come for me to step away from life on the road this next Irish tour will be my last: The Slan Tour.

“It’s been an incredible journey over the past 45 years, full of highs, some challenges, and many unforgettable moments.
“While it’s not easy to say goodbye, I know the time is right to close this chapter,” she added.
“To everyone who has supported and followed me down through the years, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
“I also owe a huge debt of gratitude to my loyal band: Bill Shanley, Pat Crowley, Richie Buckley, Nick Scott and Liam Bradley, whose amazing talents and friendship enriched my touring life.

“With these great musicians by my side again, I intend to make this final tour very special and one to remember! Hope you’ll join us for this last farewell.”
The tour begins in Kilkenny on April 24 and concludes in Cork on June 3, with scheduled stops in Belfast (April 29), Dublin (May 9), and Limerick (May 15).
Additional dates will be announced in the coming months.
The singer will also perform an extra show at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on May 30. Tickets, priced at €45, go on sale this Friday, September 12.
