Martin King’s wife Jenny McCarthy has thanked fans for their support following his father’s passing.
Martin Snr sadly died in Beaumont Hospital on Easter Sunday.
Taking to social media, Jenny said, “We’ve been through a tough few days with the passing of Martin’s dad.
“Tomorrow will be very tough for Martin and his family when they say their final goodbye to their amazing ‘Da’.
“On behalf of Martin, I would like to sincerely thank everyone for their beautiful messages of condolences sent to him on our private messages here.
“We are truly blown away by your genuine concern and kindness. God bless.”
A humanist ceremony will take place at 11.20am in Dardistown Crematorium.
The family has asked for donations to be made to Pieta House and Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland in lieu of flowers.
