Normal People was the most-talked-about show of the year, so much so, that Gucci is now selling GAA inspired shorts thanks to Paul Mescal. But they’re not the only ones channelling Paul Mescal vibes. As The Six O’Clock Show presenter, Martin King has also jumped on the bandwagon.
Martin showed off his GAA shorts, by stripping off on the show for the audience to see that he was fully kitted out and ready for the pitch.
Both Muireann O’Connell and Martin were talking about the hype around the shorts that the people of Ireland all know too well, before Martin revealed his own togs.
Speaking on the show, Martin said, “Paul wearing the shorts every GAA player has been wearing for years has the fashion world buzzing. Now Gucci is copying him and all GAA players with their own shorts.”
“The way we look at it if Gucci are designing shorts and if Paul Mescal has no problem modelling shorts. If it’s good enough for them it’s good enough for the rest of us too.”
Gucci’s O’Neill-esque shorts come in at a hefty €550, so we’ll stick to our reliable O’Neills for now, eh?
