It’s been a hectic two years for the Westlife lads, as they have been travelling the world on the Wild Dreams world-tour, travelling from Mexico to Indonesia.
And it looks like they’ve no plans to slow down as the band have hinted at extending their tour with concerts in the USA and Canada.
This would be a massive occasion as the group have never toured there before, but also as it seems bandmate Mark Feehily will be making his return to the stage, after taking a break from the tour due to health complications.
They have been dropping hints about a possible US tour for quite a while, but the biggest clue came this weekend, when every member posted on social media with an image containing the American and Canadian flags.

The poster reads: “For the first time ever”
Mark posted a different image to his bandmates, his being a selfie with the American flag’s colouring. Captioning his post: “So so excited!!!! It’s my comeback haha”
An announcement is expected this evening with the dates and locations. As Nicky Byrne wrote: “Where…?
When…? Announced [14/08/2023]”
In June, the Sligo native revealed he would not be joining his bandmates for five of their concerts over the summer, following medical advice as he underwent surgery.
Sharing the news with fans on Instagram, Mark apologised to fans and explained the situation.
Writing: “This summer, our Wild Dreams tour continues and we are so blessed for the huge love and support we receive from our fans worldwide. We have five shows taking place this summer from May-July and it is with deep regret that I will not be able to join Shane, Kian and Nicky on stage for those shows.”
“This week I have to undergo a little bit of surgery. There is nothing to worry about I promise, but under doctor’s orders this surgery needs to happen sooner rather than later and will also require some recovery time throughout the summer.”
“To all our amazing fans in Denmark, Sweden, Mexico, Cardiff and Henley, I want you to know that I was very excited to see you all and perform but this is something that can’t be avoided and I know that you will all still have the time of your lives at what will be some amazing shows!”
“I’ll be there with you all in spirit and very much look forward to getting back on stage with the lads very soon! Much love to you all and keep in touch – I’ll still be around to say hi,” he wrote.
