Margot Robbie could be set to star alongside Saoirse Ronan in new Mary Queen of Scots film.
It has already been confirmed that Saoirse will play the part of Queen Mary, and now Wolf of Wall Street star Margot could be on the cards to play the role of Queen Elizabeth.
The film will be based on John Guy’s The True Life of Mary Stuart book, and House of Cards creator Beau Willimon will write the script.
Despite the casting news, Variety magazine revealed that the movie hasn’t officially been given the go ahead just yet, but it’s going in the “right direction.”
Countless actors and directors have been associated with the project over the last number of years, including Scarlett Johanson, but Saoirse has been set to play the central role since 2012.
