Although Louise McSharry was due to give birth was last week, it seems that her little bundle of joy isn’t ready to come out just yet as she’s surpassed her due date.
The Irish DJ is expecting her first child with hubby Gordon Spiegen and as she has passed the 40 week mark, it’s just a case of waiting for the excited parents-to-be!
The Fat Chance author treated herself to a brand new outfit when the doctor told her she wouldn’t be giving birth on her due date and she took to Instagram to share a photo of herself looking glowing in her brand new red dress that hugs her growing bump.
She captioned the photo saying, “Bought this dress and little jacket in @primark last week as a treat to cheer myself up after the doctor in the Rotunda said ‘See you next week!’ on my due date.”
Unfortunately, the new mum will have to return back to work just four months after she gives birth as extended leave won’t be a possibility due to industry pressures.
“It’s hard to gauge [how long I will take off],” she recently told Evoke.ie. “Because I don’t know anything about having babies and at the end of the day every situation is different.
“Who knows what is going to happen? But in my head I’m not planning on taking a massive amount of time off. I would be thinking of going on maternity leave in September and hopefully back in January.”
We can’t wait to meet Louise’s new bundle of joy!
